Weight Loss Tips From the Premier Medical Weight Loss Clinic in Corpus Christi!

Safe, healthy tips to help you lose weight and KEEP IT OFF!

For many people, there is a specific factor that causes them to struggle with weight loss: their sweet tooth. It’s a craving they struggle to quit, making weight loss even more difficult and miserable. Unfortunately, these craving have too man empty calories to justify eating them regularly, no matter how much we wish we could.
When you want to indulge, the best thing you can do is find an alternative with low sugar, a good-for-you element (be it a super food, protein, vitamin, or minerals). here are a few dessert choices that will satisfy your sweet tooth, but will also benefit you.

Dark Chocolate

Chocolate as a dessert alternative doesn’t sound like it makes sense to most, but there is a caveat: it has to be dark chocolate. Chocolate with more than 70 percent cacao has far less sugar than the far more popular milk chocolate. It is also with these higher levels of cacao that you can reap more benefits. Dark chocolate is full of antioxidants, can help regular cortisol, and is good for your heart in moderation.

Frozen Grapes

You don’t realize how dessert-like frozen grapes are until you try them. By freezing a bowl of grapes for a few hours, you’ve made yourself tiny, sweet popsicles without added sugars, dyes, and preservatives. There are 100 percent natural, and as nothing more than a fruit, they have some great health benefits. Packed with antioxidants, resveratrol, and other nutrients, frozen greats are a great choice for a hot day.

Chocolate-dipped fruits

Combine the benefits of (dark) chocolate with the benefits of fruit. Whether you use strawberries, bananas, or a different type of fruit, your chocolate-dipped snacks are guaranteed to be full of antioxidants, vitamins and fiber. Just melt your chocolate, dip it in fruit (frozen fruit has more stability), and let it set! If you want a little extra crunch, roll it in a superfood like nuts or granola.

Cinnamon Toast

This is a quick, easy alternative to your favorite cereal. Toast a slice of while-grain bread, or another high-fiber, high benefit bread option. Mix together butter (or whatever substitute you desire), sugar, and cinnamon (which is a super-spice!). When the bread is ready, lather it up. It really is that simple, and that delicious. You won’t miss the cereal any more.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Pretzels

Salty-sweet combos are a great way to kill your cravings for both. Satisfy that need by melting a square of dark chocolate and a teaspoon of peanut butter together, then dipping a pretzel rod into the mixture. Pretzels are a great, low-calorie snack in the first place, and but your dessert can be even healthier by choosing the whole-grain option.
